Whether you live in Cape Breton, Antigonish, or even Halifax, you have probably heard of Mian’s Indian & Pakistan cuisine. Originally a farmers market favorite, Mian Qamar Ahmad decided to open a dine-in restaurant on February 20, 2017.
“Since 2012, we would travel around to farmers markets across Cape Breton and beyond,” said Mian Qamar Ahmad, Owner & Head Chef, Mian’s Restaurant. “At first, locals were hesitant to try Indian food, with fear of it being too spicy. Once they got a taste of our food, the people wanted to eat it every day.”
Mian’s passion for food and customer support is what inspired him to open Mian’s Restaurant. Celebrating four years at their George Street location, the restaurant offers the same handmade products and authentic taste found at the farmers market.
“Even during the pandemic, local support has always remained strong, and we are so thankful,” says Farhad, Manager, Mian’s Restaurant. “We continue to encourage online delivery and take out as customer safety is our top priority.”
To celebrate their four years in business and encourage online delivery, Mian’s Restaurant will be offering 5% off when customers order using CB Eats or the Mian’s app.
